Kistler

USB connection solution:

  1. Environment preparation: Install BioWare5.3.2.9 software and install 64-bit DataServer. Installation on Win11 requires installation of 64-bit Instacal.
  2. Plug in the USB cable of the force plate, open the BIOWare software. For the first startup, it will prompt that a USB device is detected and needs to be configured.

  1. Click the ok button.
  2. If the force platform is used for the first time, click the icon in the red box as shown in the following figure to calibrate the force platform. In the popped-up dialog box, operate according to the prompts.

  1. Click setup->Hardware->devices in sequence and then select New.

  1. Select the corresponding channel according to the number of analog channels on the force platform. Here, the force platform we use is an 8-channel one. Select 8Channel and click Next.

  1. In the drop-down of "Enter DEvices type", select the corresponding force platform model. Here we have selected 9260AA5. Then enter a name. The name can be specified arbitrarily here and is mainly used for sorting multiple force platforms. Finally, fill in the correct serial number information of the force platform and click "Next".

  1. Under normal circumstances, there is no need to modify the size parameters of the force plate. Just click Next.

  1. Next, the correct force platform parameter matrix needs to be filled in. This matrix information is shipped together with the force platform. If it is lost, the original information needs to be applied for by the corresponding agent.

  1. This matrix information is very important. Make sure it is not filled in incorrectly.
  2. Click "Next", then add the device to the list of active devices. In the popped-up prompt channel, select channel 1. If there are multiple force platforms, the starting channel for the second force platform is 8, and so on.
  3. After the device configuration is completed, click setup -> save dataServer Configuration File to save the current device configuration information to the local computer in XML rmat.
  4. Open xingying. Select Third-party Devices -> Force Plate Configuration. Click "+" in the force plate column to add a force plate. Click the force plate name and select Kistler from the drop-down list of devices on the right.
  5. Check the Kistler force platform (digital) in other configuration columns. In the pop-up dialog box, click Select File and select the XML e just saved.
  6. Click "OK" to close the dialog box. Then you can use the force plate.

The current network solution requires BioWare version 5.6.1.0 and DataServer version 2.6.4.6926. The tested network trigger model is 5699A, and the tested force plate model is 9260BA6.

Network connection solution:

  1. First, install BioWare_5.6.1.0 and DataServer_2.6.4.6926.
  2. Modify the IP addresses of the network trigger and the force plate. Both devices need to be set to the same subnet as the motion capture system.

(2) Select "Find Devices"

(3) Select kistlerSyncBox, then click Next

(4) Make sure the network is in Static IP mode, then click Next to continue.

(5) Enter the correct IP information in IPv4 Settings, then click Next.

(6) Click Update to apply the configuration to the network trigger. When the following screen appears, it indicates that the update was successful.

(7) Click Start Over to return to the initial screen, then proceed to configure the IP settings for the force plate. After successfully configuring the IP addresses for both the network trigger and the force plate, power off and then power on the devices to restart them.

  1. Export the force plate configuration file

(1) Open the BioWare software. Select Setup -> Hardware -> Mocap sync/trigger Device, check Write trigger...,then click Find to search for the network trigger device. Under normal circumstances, the following screen will appear.

(2) Select the network trigger device and click OK, then click OK again on the previous page to close the current dialog. (3) Go to Setup -> Hardware -> Devices, click New, then click Next on the pop-up page. Click the Find button, select the force plate to be added, and click OK.

(4) Continue clicking Next, using all default parameters until the addition is complete.

(5) Select Setup -> Save DataServer configuration file to export the configuration file. 4. Adding force plate configuration in XINGYING

(1) Open XINGYING -> Third-Party Devices -> Force Plate Configuration, then click the Add button to add a new Kistler force plate.

(2) Check the box in front of the Kistler force plate, then in the pop-up configuration window, select the XML file exported from the BioWare software, and choose BrdKistlerEthernet as the amplifier type.

(3) Connect the cameras and start playback; the force plate can then be used normally.
