(5) Ground Calibration

Ground Calibration:

1. Before using this function, please perform TL calibration on the entire system. After calibration is completed, place Marker points in the field. You need to place 3-5 Marker points in the capture scene to ensure that the positions of the placed Marker points are on the flat area of the capture scene;

2. Switch to the 2D view, click Calibration, and select Ground Calibration. Keep the default parameters and names, recheck the number of Marker points in the field, and click Calibration. After calibration, all points in the 3D view will lie on the ground plane. Click Save to open the file dialog, then click OK.

Note: The number of Marker points must be greater than 3, and there should be no other random points or debris in the field except for the ones placed there.

Height Offset:

• With the point as the reference, enter the radius of the Marker. After the calibration is completed, the Marker will be fully displayed on the ground. The default value is 0. Note: The unit of the value is millimeters.

Custom Ground Calibration Steps:

1. Enable the custom ground calibration mode. The software interface will display a frozen frame, and the current frame will be frozen.
2. Select a point to determine the ground information. Single-point selection: Hold the CTRL key and select any point in the 3D view. Each selected point's XYZ position will be displayed on the calibration panel. To select multiple points, hold Shift and drag a selection box in the 3D view. The XYZ positions of the selected points will also be displayed on the calibration panel.
3. Regarding height offset: Pay special attention. The height offset does not affect the custom ground calibration operation. During the calibration process, this factor does not need to be considered.
4. Save the calibration file. After calibration is completed, manually save the calibration file. If you do not save the calibration file manually, the calibration data will be lost when the software exits.
